吴家涌村位于中堂镇中部，北靠东江，南潢路和北王公路贯穿村的南北两侧。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，北宋名臣居厚（1038年至1114年）字重本，号敦老，宋神宗元丰年间（1078年至1085年）官至光禄大夫。后来他辞官南迁，子孙由此入粤，居厚因而被该站列为吴氏入粤的始祖。[1]
此地的建制经历了吴鹤乡（1953年）、吴家涌大队（1958年）、吴家涌乡（1983年）、吴家涌管理区（1987年），最后在1999年成为吴家涌村委会。[1]
人口与地理[edit]
2002年，全村面积3平方千米，耕地逾1300亩，辖9个村民小组。当年外来人口1627人，户籍人口2462人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，吴家涌村先后上榜淘宝村名单。[1]
