潢涌村位于中堂镇北部、东江北岸，辖地约7平方千米，由4条自然村组成，是中堂镇古建筑与革命旧址较为集中的村。[1][3]

博雅地名网称，村内实行党委制，党委下辖7个农村支部和1个外资企业联合支部，共有党员262名。农业户籍人口9000多人，常住人口约10000人，外来人口逾1.5万人，村内分27个村民小组；以上数字未注年份。[1]

荣誉与发展[edit]

博雅地名网所列荣誉有全国民主法治示范村、广东省卫生村、全国绿色小康村，另有广东省文明村与东莞市文化建设标兵村之称。[1]

2012年5月，它入选第三批广东省历史文化名镇名村；2017年11月，中央文明委授予它第五届全国文明村镇称号；同年12月，它被列为首批全国农村幸福社区建设示范的一员；2019年12月，又入选第一批国家森林乡村，并被认定为全国乡村治理示范村。[1]

2022年，潢涌村上榜淘宝村名单，同年11月则被确定为2021年度的全国综合减灾示范社区；2023年11月，它入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年4月，它获列为广东省首批乡村振兴示范村的创建村。[1]

东莞市政府网站的中堂镇概况称，潢涌村已成为全省第二个总资产「百亿村」。[2]

古迹[edit]

村内的容海黎公家祠，1949年8月起为东莞县新四区人民政府所在地；其旧址于2018年10月列为第十一批东莞市文物保护单位。东莞黎氏大宗祠及古建筑群始建于南宋，观察黎公家庙则为第十二批东莞市文物保护单位。[1][3]
