历史沿革[edit]
解放初此地归新明乡，1953年改隶十四区新联乡，1957年并入望牛墩大乡，1958年由中堂公社统辖。[2]
1961年，锦涡自立为大队，隶属望牛墩公社；1983年设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[2]
人口与交通[edit]
镇政府网站村情资料（未注明年份）称，村内耕地700多亩；登记的户籍居民有1579人，外来居住者则有950人。博雅地名网概况所载为1491人与810人，此处取政府的数字。[1][3]
村中有一条长1.8公里的道路，按二级公路标准修建，与望沙路相连。[1]
环境与经济[edit]
村内一河两岸各砌有300米长的石堤，绿树成荫。集体经济基础较弱，主要依靠卖地补偿与厂房出租增加收入，有盈泰纸品厂、纪元五金制品厂等企业。[1][3]
荣誉与建设[edit]
百度百科称，此前村里获得过省级卫生村与市级环境优美村一类的荣誉。村内建有党建主题公园，以雕塑与立体画展现红色文化。[4]
