历史沿革[edit]
解放初，此地为望牛墩乡的一部分；1951年划入六合乡一带，1953年归十五区，1957年并入望联大乡，1958年隶属中堂公社。[2]
1961年改属望牛墩公社，设芙蓉沙大队；1963年一度与官桥涌合为下合大队，1977年再度单独建队。1983年设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网概况所载，村内人口1021人（男515、女506），另有约450名外来人口（数据年份不详）。可开发利用的土地约300亩，农业以果蔗、香蕉、蔬菜种植和水产养殖为主。[3]
百度百科载，2009年村集体收入约327万元，收入主要靠厂房出租。[4]
地理与交通[edit]
村子北距107国道约4公里，南面到广深高速路口约2公里，位于107国道与港穗经济走廊的交汇区域。[3][4]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的名单里有本村，该名单对应广东省2018年度的民主法治示范村（社区）工作。[2]
2023年4月公布的2022年省级乡村治理示范村名单中，有芙蓉沙村的名字。百度百科称，2023年村里还获评东莞市「最美社区」。[2][4]
