洲涡村位于望牛墩镇西南部，面积约1.5平方千米，村的轮廓似海螺，由一条自然村组成。村的东西两侧分别与五涌村、杜屋村隔河相望，南面经横沥大桥与横沥村相通，北面与洲湾村相连。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初此地隶属望联乡，1951年改属洲漕乡，1953年划入十四区，1957年并入望牛墩大乡，1958年归中堂公社。[2]

1961年改属望牛墩公社，称洲涡大队；1983年设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[2]

人口与耕地[edit]

村中原有耕地1673亩，现实际耕地约500亩。[3]

村子距广深高速公路路口约1.3公里，距107国道约5公里，广深珠高速横贯境内，距广州、香港分别约40公里和100公里。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月公布的名单里有本村，该名单对应广东省2018年度的民主法治示范村（社区）工作。[2]
