历史沿革[edit]
解放初此地隶属望联乡，其后数年在赤联乡与十五区之间变动；1957年归望牛墩大乡，1958年由中堂公社管辖。[2]
1961年此地属望牛墩公社的李屋大队；1983年改设乡，1987年由李屋分出，成为望东管理区，1999年改为村委会。[2]
经济[edit]
村里较早尝试农地统筹，发展了名为“奥运”的蔬菜项目，其基地年产值约200万元。村内又在文林一带推进休闲观光与农家乐。[1]
博雅地名网载，截至2008年，村集体经济由收不抵支转为收支平衡，并有约30万元盈余；村内耕地约45亩，林地约160亩。[2][4]
人口[edit]
镇政府网站的村情资料称，村内常住人口2076人，村民分属多个经济合作社；博雅地名网概况所载常住人口约2100人、外来人口约2000人，数据年份不详。[1][3]
