麻二社区是广东省东莞市麻涌镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心区，总面积6.03平方千米，下辖14个居民小组。社区原为村，2005年5月「村改居」后定名为麻二社区。[1][2][4]

社区的历史可追溯到明初屯田时期：当时军士在古梅乡南面的沙洲落户垦荒，因两位头目的姓氏定名董叶乡，俗称「军城」。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据镇政府栏目，明朝初年军队奉命屯田，其中两屯的士兵在古梅乡南侧的沙洲安家垦荒，乡名取两名头目的姓氏，称为董叶乡，因居民多是军户，俗称「军城」。民国时这里归番禺县管辖，新中国成立后改隶东莞，在麻涌乡之内设军城村。[3][4]

此后的沿革可以这样理清：1953年改属第十四区；1954年农会分设四个分会，董叶乡归入第二分会，名字也由此变作麻二，当年建起合作社。1958年并入麻四组成麻二营，两年后又析出，另设麻二大队。1983年重设为乡政府，1987年降为管理区，1999年又以村委会的名义运作。[3]

2005年5月，社区经「村改居」改为麻二社区居委会。[3][4]

社区概况[edit]

百度百科给出的常住数是3562人，另有外来人口的数字；镇政府栏目则笼统称常住约6000人。两者口径并不一致，本条不取其一。耕地不足千亩，辖内企业共13家。[1][4]

社区设党委1个，党委班子8人；下设党支部5个。[4]

集体经济方面，社区统筹管理现有的集体资产，并将原麻二砖厂地块改造为「景福花园」商住项目，通过出售物业增加收入。[4]

荣誉[edit]

镇政府栏目列出的荣誉有「广东省文明社区」「广东省卫生村」「广东省宜居社区」「广东省「六好」平安和谐社区」「广东省科普示范社区」，以及「东莞市平安社区」「东莞市环境优美社区」「东莞市巾帼示范村」「东莞市名村」等。[4]
