昌平村是广东省东莞市道滘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东北部，距镇政府约3千米，辖区总面积3.8平方千米。[2] 村子明嘉靖年间已立村，初名「沙盘洲」，清咸丰年间赖氏迁入后改为现名。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据百度百科，村子起初称「沙盘洲」，清咸丰年间，赖氏族人迁入，改名为昌平，取其「昌盛繁荣、平步青云」之意。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子在1999年设村委会，1989年改为管理区，1969年设革命委员会，1958年为大队，1953年称昌平乡；立村则在明嘉靖年间，最早叫沙洲盘。[1]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科记载，村内2012年时有户籍居民3443人，另有约6000名外来人口。世居村民多为赖姓，日常说粤语。博雅地名网则记户籍2560人、978户，外来人口约3000人，年份未注，两者并列。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村内辖有昌平、扶屋水、虎斗、深涌和大备湾五个村民小组。万道公路、滨江西路和广东绿道穿村而过，地铁1号线昌平站位于村内。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村内有三十多家规模以上的工厂企业，以外资与民营为主，行业包括鞋材、服装、塑料和电子。[1] 传统经济以农业为主，改革开放后发展工业。[2]

2014年，村级经营总收入为664万元，村级总资产为6222万元。村里先后获得「广东省卫生村」「东莞市市容环境优美村」「东莞市文化建设达标村」「东莞市体育先进村」等称号。[3]
