义沙村是沙田镇下辖的行政村，隶属大洲片，位于镇的南部，东与厚街镇隔河相望，南接虎门镇，距莞城西南约27千米。辖区面积4.9平方千米，村民小组共6个。村政府网站称，村内常住约1.2万人，户籍2233人。[1][2]

义沙村成立于1999年。村子分为南北两个功能区：南片为工业开发区，北片为农业种植区。[1][3]

广深港高速铁路自东向西穿过村域，直达相邻的虎门站。环保路由南至北贯穿全村，连接虎门渡轮路与明珠路。[1]

村政府网站称，村内现有企业130家，其中外资企业17家、民营企业113家，涉及漂染、橡塑、纺织、灯饰、家具和五金等行业。村内也有自有厂房的企业6家。[1]

荣誉与风貌[edit]

村政府网站称，村内有古树一棵，村民屋前屋后多种龙眼、荔枝等果树。传统节日前后村里会举办端午龙舟赛、春节篮球赛和迎春游园会等活动。村子获评广东省乡村治理示范村，未注明年份。[1]
