据百度百科，稔洲的聚落形成于清末民国之间，各村民小组大多是围海垦田的移民建立的，旧围与培厚围的历史超过150年。1990年后，耕地逐步转为工业用地。[3]

百度百科称，村里现有企业145家，涉及家具与制衣等领域，村集体经济总资产超过5.8亿元。村政府网站则称，村内已有企业160家。两者年份不同，此处分别注明。[1][3]
