民田村是沙田镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中心，东与西太隆村相接，南与穗丰年村、大泥村相连，西接福禄沙村，北与横流社区、阇西村相邻。村域总面积约5.15平方千米，下辖六个原自然村。村政府网站称，户籍3095人、常住约18500人。[1][4]

村内共有企业70家，其中外资企业6家，民营和个体企业64家，主要生产皮具、灯饰、五金和玩具。较大的企业包括柏辉玩具、兴发五金和百斯科实业等。村里还有自有厂房与商铺出租。[1]

䲞沙花园位于民田村南环河畔，连接河畔与湿地公园，是安置原立沙岛居民的小区。[5]村内有中小学、幼儿园，并有多个房地产楼盘与小区，另设综合市场一处。[1][2]

交通[edit]

交通方面，村域内有沙田大道、沿河路等道路，沿江高速与莞番高速经过，明珠路与进港北路也在辖区内。[1]
