环冈社区位于广东省东莞市厚街镇东部，东面连着大迳社区，南面与新围社区比邻，西边则是河田与汀山两社区，北面临近南城的水濂。社区距镇中心约6千米，面积3.23平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传明朝末年建村，因村子四周被山岗环抱而得名「环冈」。社区以尹姓为主。[1]
交通[edit]
西面有广深高速，经厚街湖景大道与社区相连；东北有学府路通往南城的水濂山路。[1]
名胜[edit]
梁德明起义遗址在环冈村，原址为雅淡祖祠，该祠于20世纪70年代拆毁，原址改建为村文化室。该遗址所纪念的起义，发生在1942年广东人民抗日游击总队组建、敌后游击战局面渐开之时。[2]
