汀山社区位于广东省东莞市厚街镇东部，有广深高速、环莞快速等干道经过，面积4.3平方千米。社区始建于明代。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据传明代时寮厦方氏的子孙迁来此处立村，原名「葭汀山」。村前一带是冲积出的河床，晴日成片沙滩，长满芦苇，雨后则一片汪洋，村后有山岗，故名。[1]
产业与文体[edit]
社区内厂房总面积逾25万平方米，有厂商30多家，以鞋类、家具、电子、纺织、绣花和运动制品等制造业为主。社区另有篮球队、麒麟队与曲艺社等文体组织。[1]
