河田社区位于广东省东莞市厚街镇东南部，前临S256省道，后靠广深高速公路，距莞城约16千米。社区面积9.1平方千米，辖有十个自然村，名称中较常见的有禾州、祠边、石厦、角元、东头等。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

南宋绍定二年（1229年）立村。始祖原籍河南，后迁居福建莆阳，为不忘两处祖居地，起名「河阳」，后因莆阳又称莆田，「河阳」遂改为「河田」。[1]

经济与姓氏[edit]

村民以方姓为主，另有梁、谭、陈、伦等姓。工业以鞋类、毛织、家具、电子、五金为主，皮料商铺达上千家。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

郡驸公祠位于河田社区郡马路，1923年建成，建筑之名取自南宋方幼学迎娶赵氏郡主的故事。2012年11月列为第九批东莞市文物保护单位。[2]
