屋尾村在东莞市厚街镇东部，百度百科把它列在大迳社区之下。村子离镇政府15千米左右，四邻是石马、汪潭、岗头和环冈几个村。[1]

据百度百科，建村是在清乾隆年间（1736至1795年）；村名从何而来，已经说不清了。[1]

地理与非物质文化遗产[edit]

村子处在丘陵之间，村里的茶山高385米。客家山歌和客家鹅的制作技艺列为镇级非物质文化遗产。[1]
