历史沿革[edit]
早先宴岗归南栅管辖。1987年自南栅乡析出，成立宴岗管理区，隶虎门镇。1999年改为宴岗村委会，仍由镇政府管理。2005年转为社区，定名宴岗社区居委会。[2]
村名与村落[edit]
村名旧称「对宴岗」，处南栅之南，明清时隔水与对岸相望。南面对着的宁洲（今路东）是潮田广阔的旧海域，两地相对，称「对面海」，村因山岗丘陵起伏，又名「对面岗」。[3]
村民姓梁，派出梁屋。村侧曾有一小村，相传遭瘟疫后村落散尽，梁姓代为收敛，后来漂流在外的遗民集资建起义冢，并立有石牌坊，六十年代因风雨侵蚀塌毁。[3]
荔林多老树，村旁习惯种植番荔枝，果大肉甜，颇有名气。近年沿村道兴建工业楼宇，与南栅、路东两村相接。[3]
