小捷滘社区位于虎门镇，原为河口岛屿，村前为滩涂，明代后钟氏族人在此聚居。日军侵占虎门时村落曾遭火烧，新中国成立后，村民以开山种果、养猪积肥著称。[2]
外来人口逾万，户籍人口1091人（2024年）。[1]
村落与历史[edit]
村落原为河口岛屿，村前滩涂，潮水可以灌入。西面隔山与金洲相连，北与大宁隔滩相对，附近的龙潜窖是龙户、盐丁停泊的地方。明代后，钟氏族人在此聚居，村舍多为草棚。[2]
日军占领虎门时，全村遭到火烧，村民生活长期贫苦。新中国成立后，村属金洲乡，后自立大队，在六十年代成为县内自力更生的典型。[2]
生产[edit]
七十年代，村里以多种经营为主，开山种果，养猪积肥，村民改建砖房楼房，巷道整洁，卫生工作在当时的乡村中居前。近年，耕作方式有所改变：一部分低洼田改种香蕉，旱地则种橙、柑、桔和荔枝。[2]
