居岐社区位于虎门镇北部，在广深公路（107国道）边。村民姓邓，晚清时由怀德邓氏分支在此立村，后先后划入树田乡、北栅大队，1970年代中期起独立管理。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村前原有散落的小村，明代东宝驿道经过此处，设有邮铺。清中叶后河涌渐淤，村墟渐废。村北的横窖尾村在清末村民散走后，一部分人迁入大宁，在独岗立村。[1]
1952年土地改革时划属树田乡，人民公社后归北栅大队。1970年代中期起独立行政管理，至今辖新塘、新村仔、凤翔楼等小村。[1]
近年，管理区修建了连接107国道的水泥大道，并在村边起建工业区，村前的广深公路口形成了乡村式的商贸区。[1]
