历史沿革[edit]
1953年，树田一带划属第九区；1957年撤区并乡，划入北栅乡。[2]
1958年，虎门人民公社在此修筑五点梅水库，水库淹没的村落由国家拨款另建。田心、新村北移，重归怀德管辖；田尾村东移到长安街口附近，另立新农村大队；独树村迁往就近的山坡重建，仍称树田大队。[2]
1983年改设树田乡，1987年改设树田管理区，1999年成立树田村委会，2005年村改居，命名为树田居委会。[2]
村落来历[edit]
村人皆姓邓，是怀德邓元和一支的后裔。田尾村明初立村，独树村旧名蜀竖，因邓氏迁入后成为强族，旧村人逐渐迁离，名称也以音讹改为独树。[3]
村属狮子山一带，山中有含铁矿，大跃进时曾组织全村采炼；近年村中开辟了机械化采石场，并靠近107国道发展工业区。[3]
