乌沙社区处在大湾区中部，与深圳前海相邻，总面积约10平方千米，下辖陈屋、蔡屋、李屋、江贝四个经济合作社。[1]
社区内建村已有八九百年，清代广东陆路提督李扬陞与叶挺将军夫人李秀文均出于此地，社区内的蔡氏宗祠、戴氏宗祠和玄坛古庙等文物古迹，分布于笔架山一带。[1][3]

据东莞市人民政府门户网站，社区登记户籍人口4945人，常住人口约12万人。[1]

2020年9月，阿里研究院公布的2020年淘宝村名单中有乌沙社区；2021年10月和2022年10月的淘宝村名单中，乌沙社区也名列其中。[2]
