鸡翅岭村位于大岭山镇西北部，与松山湖科技园区毗邻，北面连着同沙生态区，村辖区面积3.8平方千米[1]。村里的户籍人口为1653人，实际居住的常住人口约8000人[1]。村子建村已近六百年，以莞香文化闻名，当地称「女儿香」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，南宋时期，河南汴梁一支汤氏先迁南雄，再迁台山，又转至古井[2]。明洪武十三年（1380年）其后人从古井迁到村东约1公里的黄泥磡山坡定居，地名就叫黄泥磡；正德至嘉靖年间（1521年至1567年），黄泥磡村民迁到现址，取名燕岭，后又改为鸡翅岭[2]。

1953年归大沙乡，1958年并入大沙营，1961年设鸡翅岭大队；1969年鸡翅岭大队被并入大沙大队，直到1977年才重新分出；1984年设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年改为村民委员会[3]。

文化与产业[edit]

村中仍保留老屋、老巷、古门楼、古祠堂、八卦井、古榕树与风水林等旧式建筑与自然景观[1]。2008年起，村子以莞香为农业品牌，动员村民大量种植莞香树[4]。镇内的莞香文化博物馆新馆与鸡翅岭村女儿香文化展馆先后开馆[5]。

截至2024年12月，村集体总资产2.07亿元，总收入2935万元，纯收入2689万元；市场主体为418个，另有工厂企业255家，其中规模以上企业13家，上市公司1家[1]。2024年5月，村子被列为第二批省「百千万工程」典型村培育对象[1]。

荣誉[edit]

村子获得「广东省莞香（女儿香）文化之乡」「广东省文化和旅游特色村」「广东省乡村治理示范村」「东莞市文明标兵村」与「东莞市十大美丽幸福村居」等称号[1]。
