大塘朗村位于大岭山镇中心区以北约6公里处，东边与寮步镇接壤，南边与松山湖科技产业园和马蹄岗村相邻，西边与鸡翅岭村相连，北面通往同沙生态园[1]。村民以袁、邝两姓为主[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1950年此地归大沙乡管辖，1952年设塘朗乡，1953年隶属马蹄岗乡，1954年独立成乡，并入金桔大乡[2]。1958年公社化之后，它与马蹄岗、新塘合编为骏马营；大岭山公社于1961年组建后，这里成为大塘朗大队[2]。此后1983年设乡，1987年成为管理区，1999年换为村民委员会[2]。

经济与设施[edit]

集体资产（村组两级合计）约1.42亿元，2024年经营总收入2486万元[1]。近年村里新引进多家规模以上企业，配套有市场、文化广场、公园与灯光球场[1]。

村中祠堂经过重修，村委会大道和村内排洪渠也已修缮，另新建图书馆与村民活动广场[1]。村子曾获「广东省卫生村」「东莞市环境优美村」「东莞市平安社区」「东莞市文明村（社区）」等称号[1][3]。
