清湖头社区在塘厦南部，与凤凰岗社区相接，南面连着石鼓社区，西南与平山社区相通，西边是蛟乙塘社区，北面隔着振兴围社区。全社区面积4.3平方千米，辖13个自然村、10个居民小组。户籍511户，1500余人，外来人口有3万多[1]。

宜居社区[edit]
2016年，社区完成“广东省宜居社区”工程，升级了凤凰路、清凤路和清湖路，并整治人民路的鱼塘景观。2017年1月，广东省住房和城乡建设厅核发“四星级广东省宜居社区”称号[1]。该年，社区公共服务中心也投入使用，中心名为清湖头社区公共服务中心[1]。
