塘厦镇是广东省东莞市下辖的镇，位于东莞市东南部，东面与清溪镇相邻，西面连着黄江镇，北面是樟木头镇，南面与凤岗镇和深圳观澜街道接界。全镇辖区面积128平方千米，下辖21个社区。电子信息与电气机械制造业是其支柱，同时依托观澜湖高尔夫球会发展高尔夫产业，被称为世界高尔夫名镇[3][7]。

历史沿革[edit]

塘厦早年写作「塘头厦」。明代这里属东莞县归城乡第六都，塘厦圩是都府所在地。万历元年（1573年）起，今塘厦境域分属新安、东莞两县；清乾隆十九年（1754年）又有一部分原属新安的地方改归东莞，并受石龙戍厅节制[6]。

民国初年，塘厦归东莞县第四区管辖；1934年塘厦圩建乡，这是塘厦设立乡政权的开端[6]。1955年成为东莞县塘厦区，其后数年间，行政单位先后拆并，清溪与凤岗陆续分出，成立人民公社[6]。直到1983年才又改称塘厦区，随后撤区改镇；镇名的启用时间，百度百科记为1986年11月，博雅地名网记为1987年[6][1]。

唐乾符六年，黄巢起义军攻陷广州，曾派兵占据塘厦[2]。南宋祥兴二年（1279年），行军都统叶宏被元兵追赶，避入大屏障的山林；他后来在大屏障脚下搭屋定居，被认作大坪村与田心村的立村始祖[2]。咸丰二年（1852年）四月，太平天国领导人洪仁玕从香港潜回内地，匿居牛眠埔，在永培书室任塾师约一年，此处今存其避难遗迹[10]。

人口与语言[edit]

清宣统元年（1909年），塘厦有3020户、10120人[2]。改革开放以后，大量工业企业落户，外来人口迅速增加，2004年统计的外来人口已超过27万[2]。

本地人说塘厦话，属粤语莞宝方言；龙背岭一带也有少量人讲客家话[2]。

经济[edit]

2024年全镇地区生产总值为653.2亿元，居全市第5位，同比增长4.8%[3]。电子信息制造业、电气机械及设备制造业是主要行业，镇政府称其为广东省电子电源专业镇[8]。镇内规模以上工业企业数量居全市前列，临深新一代电子信息产业基地是近年重点建设的区域[3][8]。

在2025年全国镇域经济500强的排名中，塘厦位居第九。更早的2023年11月，它进入了「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」名单[4]。

观澜湖高尔夫球会设在镇域内。2004年，健力士大全将其列为规模居世界首位的高尔夫球会。2009年，塘厦获授「中国高尔夫产业名镇」称号，并定期办展，展会名为「中国（塘厦）国际高尔夫运动用品博览会」[7][9]。

地理环境[edit]

塘厦四面环山，总体呈盆地型小平原。镇内有12个天然湖泊和水库。大屏嶂森林公园的森林覆盖率在96%以上，其面积，博雅地名网作26.7平方千米[3][4]，百度百科作25.71平方千米，并称该公园获评广东省四星级森林公园[11]。

名胜古迹[edit]

崖山碉堡位于崖山公园山顶，建于1943年；它在2012年11月成为东莞市第九批文物保护单位之一[4]。牛眠埔洪仁玕避难遗迹包括永培书室遗址、福音堂、鼎和堂等文物点[10]。

桥陇的三圣宫始建于明代宣德年间，沙湖的盘古庙始建于清乾隆年间，两处古庙都在相应的社区条目中提及[9]。

交通与教育[edit]

广深铁路在境内设塘头厦站，赣深客运专线在境内设东莞南站[2]。莞深高速、龙林高速和东深公路穿境而过[5]。

塘厦中学1947年由东莞县政府创办，原名「东莞县立塘头厦乡中学」，是东莞县早期的六所中学之一[2]。镇内还有广东亚视演艺职业学院（民办大专）[2]。
