三中村位于清溪镇南部，南与凤岗镇相邻，西邻塘厦镇，是清溪的南大门，距深圳市32公里。[1]村庄面积9平方千米，下辖7个自然村、11个村民小组。[2]
村内的工业与商业都比较发达，博雅地名网所载，清凤路穿境而过，周边的高速公路使村庄能在5分钟内上高速。村内生态资源丰富，全村森林覆盖率为43.25%，其中大王山森林公园的森林覆盖率达87%，每年三月的禾雀花是清溪「赏花行」活动的标志。[1][3]
