谢坑村位于清溪镇西南，与工业重镇塘厦毗邻，面积3.2平方千米，辖内5个村民小组依次为老围、新围、龙口、岑屋围与江窑（原名鹧鹋塘）。[2]村内工厂林立，2008年先后获评东莞市卫生村和广东省卫生村。[1]

博雅地名网载，谢坑村通往中心区及各村委会的水泥道路有4公里，宽36米；通往工厂区的道路有6公里，宽20米，沿路已做绿化种植。[1]

博雅地名网载，村委会拟投资80万元，改造村委会旁边一幢空置楼房，楼房占地约2000平方米，建筑面积800平方米，改建后作为谢坑文化活动中心，内设老年活动室、残联办事处、村民文化活动室和图书馆。[1]
