土桥村位于清溪镇南部，面积3.5平方千米，下辖土桥新围、土桥老围、大岗厦3个村民小组。[2]村庄在抗日战争时期是中共清塘区委所在地，村里有烈士及革命历史纪念馆，是清溪的革命老村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，1936年土桥村的青年开始接受中国共产党的主张，1938年村里发展了第一批党员，建立了党的组织。抗战时期，土桥村是中共清塘区委驻地，同时充当东江特委与东莞县委的联络点，也是东江纵队的情报与交通站。[1]

博雅地名网载，抗战中村里有9名青年牺牲，其中黄万顺于1941年10月遇害，年仅三十岁。他曾以教书为掩护，在塘厦开展革命活动。[1]

博雅地名网载，1949年10月1日清晨，村民迎来了解放军。1952年村里分田到户，当时有水稻田680亩、旱田450亩。[1]
