荔横村是清溪镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中西部，村内分为荔枝墩、横湖、百家围、铁桥埔、梁头围、角岭等村民小组。[2][4]

解放前村里以水稻种植为主，改革开放后逐步引进外资企业，2004年外资企业已近60家。村内的百家村和角岭等地先后完成了农民公寓建设，村民住进了楼房。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，村子以传统农业为主，偏僻而贫困，水田约1890亩，旱地约350亩。改革开放前实行生产队记工分，村民生活比较困难。[1]

上世纪80年代后期，村里引进了3家小型外商企业。1992年以后，村里借基础设施的改善发展外向型经济。博雅地名网载，到2004年外资企业有近六十家，村组两级的收入合计3509万元，2008年增至4700万元。[1]

1995年，村里开始实施「上楼工程」，集中建设农民公寓和住宅小区，改变村民散居的模式。博雅地名网载，角岭、铁桥布新村、横湖、百家村等小组的改造已经完成，全村共有210户住进或即将住进新楼。[1]

百家村原名八家村，初立村时只有八户人家，后因谐音改名为百家。2003年，该村推行农村股份合作制改革，明晰了集体资产的产权。[1]

据该村2025年工作总结，2025年1至9月，村组两级总资产为57108万元，收入6118万元，净收入3936万元，资产负债率为13.06%。[3]

百度百科作1.5平方千米，并称常住人口1562人、新莞人7026人，但未注统计时点；维基百科作1.8平方千米。两种说法并存，各注出处。[2][4]
