长山头村位于清溪镇西部，距镇中心约4公里，村庄倚着打磨岭的山脚，靠近石马河。全村辖6个村民小组，据维基百科，明代洪武年间殷姓先人迁来此地定居。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，殷姓始祖迁来立村时，村名取自村庄所在的一片长形山坡。该页写迁来的年份为「洪武永乐七年（公元1378年）」，但洪武与永乐两个年号与公元1378年并不相符，故本条不取这一年份，只写明洪武年间。[1]维基百科则称殷氏是从常平镇白石岗迁来的。[3]

改革开放初期，村里实行土地承包，大量发展荔枝、龙眼等果树。1982年村内开始引进外资厂，主要是手袋和毛织行业；1990年时只有3间厂。[1]

1993年，村里推平山头，平整出一万多平方米的厂房用地，当年引进4间外资厂。博雅地名网载，2008年村内外资厂已有35间，村组两级收入2618万元，年终人均分配4800元。[1]

经济[edit]

据该村2025年工作总结，村内的现代化产业园区项目中，单元1地块的总体实施方案已报市审批，其余地块正有序推进征收统筹。[4]

村内还修建了村民活动中心与郊野公园。博雅地名网载，2005年村委会投资近百万元修建三层的村民活动中心，2007年又投资近800万元在打磨岭建成郊野公园。村委会此前提出要打造「东莞市文化建设先进村」。[1][2]
