三新社区是广东省东莞市黄江镇下辖的社区，位于镇的中西部。东边靠近宝山社区，南边与梅塘一带相连，西侧与大朗镇接壤，北侧同北岸社区为邻。社区距镇中心约7公里。[1][3]

社区于2008年3月由黄牛埔、黄江、黄京坑三个村撤并而成，总面积16.6平方千米，其中林地约1.8万亩，属丘陵山区。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

2008年，三个村的村委会撤销，黄京坑、黄牛埔、黄江三村合并，设立三新社区居委会，此后沿用至今。[1]

黄牛埔旧名永兴围，据称1780年立村。它四面环山，又处于埔田之中，远望如一头黄牛伏在山下，故得此名。1958年兴建黄牛埔水库，村民迁往现居地。[2]

黄江村一带据称在清咸丰年间，有数户人家从远处迁来，在河边定居，因河水浑黄而取名黄江；其后设立了集市，遂称黄江圩。[2]

黄京坑原称黄猄坑，因地形如盆、山水相间，常有野生动物出入，故得名。后因「猄」字不够文雅，改为黄京坑。[2]

人口与社会[edit]

博雅地名网所载常住人口为2871人，流动人口近2万人。镇政府网站则称户籍人口约3630人，常住人口约1.7万人。两组数字年份与口径不同，未加合并。[1][3]

社区户籍居民多为客家人，姓氏以张、李、巫、陈等为主，仍保留讲客家话、娶亲舞麒麟、「请三朝」等习俗。[2]

社区下辖黄京坑、黄牛埔、黄江三个党支部，截至官网所载时，共有正式党员120人。[3]

经济与设施[edit]

以2012年计，村级集体总收入约1653万元，每人平均约5758元；工厂企业共77家，外资的有18家。[1]

社区内有水库两座，黄牛埔水库与清泉水库；前者建于上世纪五六十年代，拟建为以自行车运动为主题的森林公园，后者拟建为以茶文化为主的生态景点。[3] 镇政府网站还列出社区内有小学1所、幼儿园2所、医疗门诊4间、综合市场3个。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2006年，黄牛埔与黄江两村先后被评为「广东省卫生村」；社区成立后，又获「东莞市优美社区」「东莞市生态社区」等称号。[2]
