佛新社区是大朗镇的社区，前身为佛新村，位于松山湖畔，面积约0.57平方千米（政府网所载为820亩）[1][3]。政府网概况所载，户籍总数365户，户籍人口1096人[1]。百度百科载，截至2022年3月户籍人口1074人[3]。
迁建历史[edit]
政府网概况称，佛新村历史上两次搬迁：1958年因国家规划兴建松木山水库，全村迁离；2004年，为了配合松山湖的开发，再次举村搬到现在的地点[1]。博雅地名网记载的时间与此相同[2]。
社区处在松柏朗村、黎贝岭村、求富路社区和巷尾社区的交界处。大朗镇内首批完成村改居的社区正是它，东莞市内首个建成并入住高层农民公寓的社区也是它[1]。

社区总面积820亩，分为生活区320亩和工业区500亩。生活区中，住宅小区占75亩，联建楼区占245亩；工业区是飞地，位于大朗镇富民工业二园[1][3]。
生活与环保[edit]
政府网概况称，2014年起社区开始推行厨余回收再利用项目，在东莞市率先采用厨余分类资源化处理[1]。佛新花园小区内设厨余处理中心、种植体验园、村史馆等设施[1]。
