石步村是广东省东莞市寮步镇下辖的行政村，在寮步镇北部，临寒溪河西侧，北面紧接茶山镇。[1]
村子面积2.8平方千米，分为七个村民小组，户籍五千余人、一千八百多户，外来人口超过一万七千。[1] 博雅地名网所载面积为5.8平方千米，两种数字并存，本文以村情介绍为准。[2]
位置与行政[edit]
村子南边挨着良边村，西边可通华南工业区，北边与茶山镇接壤。七个村民小组的名称为东南、西门、北门、渡头、围外、封屋与凹边。[1]

村党委统管8个党支部，在册党员165人。村里现有幼儿园3所、小学2所、中学1所，并有农贸市场、社区卫生服务站和图书馆各一处。[1]

2022至2023年间，村子先后被寮步镇政府评为综合考评、生态环境综合治理及「百千万工程」工作的先进单位。[1]
