还珠沥村在镇南，与镇中心区相邻，常平大道与环城路从村中经过。村名原作「隔岭」，后因「合浦还珠」的传说与村前多水沥而改称今名。[1]
建村[edit]
叶氏始祖丛剡在元朝时由茶山的水埗头迁来，见此地前临交叉水沥、后枕山岭，遂在此定居，以养鸭为生。[1]

旧时同处此地的小村有欧屋、吴屋、黎屋、钟屋、林屋、莫家等，当地因而被称作「莲塘九眼十三村」。[1]
