稔子园村是广东省东莞市谢岗镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西部，东与赵林村相邻，西与曹乐村接壤，北面与桥头镇石水口村毗邻。村域总面积约2.4平方千米，地形为丘陵，境内有大岭头山。村民多为广府民系，讲东莞谢岗话。村子约建于元至治元年（1321年），由罗氏先祖迁入。村内有明代古墓罗中山墓和一棵清代种植的木棉树。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村界东起稔子园大冚，西抵萧沥，宽约1公里；南端在小更水库，北端在沙沥，纵深约2.5公里。镇政府网站记其总面积为2.4平方千米，约占谢岗镇总面积的2.33%。博雅地名网则记土地总面积为2.3平方千米，两者相差不大。[1][2]

村子坐落于丘陵地带，境内有大岭头山，海拔约100米。村子距离镇政府约5.5千米。[3][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据镇政府网站，稔子园村大约建于元朝至治元年（1321年）。罗氏先人从南雄珠玑巷出发，先到东莞企石，再辗转落户谢岗。博雅地名网则记该村建村于1142年，与前一说的时间相差约一百八十年，此处以镇政府网站为准。[1][2][3]

1950年至1952年属东莞县第七区曹乐乡，1953年起先后属第五区和第九区的曹乐乡，1957年划归谢岗乡。1958年属樟木头人民公社赵曹生产大队，1960年改由谢岗公社的曹乐大队管辖。1993年另立稔子园管理区，1999年才设为村委会。[1][2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

迁入稔子园最早的是罗氏，之后赖、谢、赵、杨等姓相继迁入。镇政府网站记2015年村内户籍人口共有45个姓氏，其中罗姓379人，赖姓89人居次。博雅地名网则记常住约158户，合计635人，外来人口超过两千。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村子传统上以农业为主，水稻、甘蔗、黄麻、蔬菜、荔枝与龙眼都有种植。改革开放后大力发展养殖业。[1][3]

1994年，村里引进了第一家外资企业，将番薯岭上一块2.47万平方米的土地转让给该企业建厂房和宿舍。2000年村里自建了一间简易厂房。百度百科另记，到2015年村里登记在册的外资企业有四家，私营企业十六家。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有一座明代古墓，即罗中山墓。另有一棵清代种植的木棉树，树龄200多年，已列入东莞市三级保护古树名录。[1]

人物与荣誉[edit]

新中国成立后，村里出过两位人物：罗满光曾担任广东省公安厅的副巡视员，属副厅级；赖广和则曾在深圳的建筑设计单位任高级工程师。[1]

2004年，稔子园村被评为谢岗镇第一个「文明村」。2005年至2008年，村子先后获得东莞市计划生育先进村、东莞市卫生村等称号。[1][2]
