赵林村隶属谢岗镇，处在镇中心区的西北侧：东边与谢岗村相邻，西边连着稔子园村，东北面和惠州市惠城区接壤。村子建于元朝延祐二年（1315年），据传由赵氏先人来此定居，村中分为「新围」「旧围」两部分。谢常公路与莞惠城轨穿过村内，村中设有赵林工业城、金川工业园等产业园区。[1][2][3]

村境的东界为山头园，西界为稔麻冚，东西横跨约1.4公里；南起赤山，北止于鲫鱼角，纵向长约5公里。镇政府网站记其总面积为7.1平方千米，约占谢岗镇总面积的6.89%。博雅地名网则记土地总面积为3.6平方千米，建成区面积0.5平方千米，统计口径不同，此处以镇政府网站为准。[1][2]
村子南面与樟木头镇毗邻，西北面与桥头镇相邻。谢常公路、莞惠城轨、广梅汕铁路、城北大道与粤海大道纵贯村境，金川大道横穿其中。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
赵林村的建村时间为元朝延祐二年（1315年）。元末，赵氏先祖自福建辗转迁入东莞，并散居在高埗、谢岗等地。至2021年，立村已有700多年。[1]
博雅地名网记1127年至1279年间赵姓从栅口迁来，1315年建村。1952年，赵林与林屋边村合并，各取一字，称赵林乡。1958年赵林与曹乐合并，成立赵曹生产大队，之后设赵曹农场；1960年改属谢岗公社，改称赵林大队。之后，1983年设赵林乡，1987年设管理区，1999年才改为村委会。[2][1]
人口与姓氏[edit]
2021年村内户籍人口的姓氏超过80个，其中赵姓人数最多，罗姓次之。百度百科记户籍有两千余人，外来人口约一万二千人；博雅地名网则记户籍约1680人，新莞人约6000人。两者的统计时间与口径不同，此处不取其一。[1][3][2]
经济[edit]
1985年，村里引进了第一家外资企业，即赵林针织厂，主要生产毛衣、毛衫等产品。20世纪90年代中期，村里加大招商引资力度，建成赵林工业区与燕东工业区，2000年建成金川工业区。2015年由镇统筹发展粤海工业园与泰诚工业园。[1]
百度百科记村内拥有企业225家。2024年，村两级的总资产约4.6亿元，总收入约1105万元。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
龙溪古庙约建于元朝至治元年（1321年），后经两次重修。赵曹高公祠建于清乾隆初年（1736年），1989年群众集资重修；洪郁公祠建于清乾隆五年（1740年），1993年由村民集资修缮。[1]
文化与荣誉[edit]
新中国成立前村里有粤剧社与麒麟队，每年农历正月十二举行游会活动，1953年前后这些活动相继停止。1995年，赵林管理区集资建成全镇第一间村级幼儿园。[1]
2018年至2023年连续6年被谢岗镇委和镇政府评为「先进村」，2023年被评为「东莞市特色精品村」。2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1][2]
