窑山村隶属于东莞市谢岗镇，是镇内的一个行政村，地处东莞市的最东端，东面与惠州市惠城区接壤，因此有「东大门」之称。村域南北两侧环山，呈东西向的狭长形状，居民多讲客家话。村下辖窑上、公路新、窑下三个自然村，辖区面积0.8平方千米。村内有始建于1681年的谢氏宗祠，村域内还有银瓶山森林公园的一部分山林。[1][2][3]

地理环境[edit]

窑山村的南北两面都是山，东西方向拉得很长，南北约500米。莞惠公路（省道）从村子北部穿过，离惠州市区约半小时车程，离东莞市区约一小时车程。西面和北面与黎村接壤，东面和南面与惠州沥林镇毗邻。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

窑山村最早立村的是窑上村，据镇政府网站记载，立村于明崇祯四年（1631年）。当时村子在崖山背后，因此最初叫崖山背；后来村里建了一座大门，出入都要经过，形状像鸡寮，又被叫作鸡寮墩。新中国成立后，鸡寮墩与老虎窝两个村合并组成农业社，因为集体设立了砖瓦窑厂，村名改为窑山，其中鸡寮墩改为窑上村，老虎窝改为窑下村。[1][3]

1983年设乡，1987年成为管理区，直到1999年才设立村委会。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

2020年全国人口普查时，村内人口为3147人，其中户籍人口608人，外来人口2539人。姓氏共48个，以谢姓人数最多，张、罗、李、廖等姓次之。村子最早由谢氏从谢岗的曹乐格塘村迁来。[1]

经济[edit]

1989年村里引进了第一家「三来一补」企业，之后全村耕地逐渐转为工业用地。截至2024年，村内有工厂企业56家，以五金、电子加工为主。在银瓶山森林公园范围内，本村的山林面积为5432亩。[1][3]

2021年村集体经济收入808万元，人均纯收入34951元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内保留有谢氏宗祠，建于清康熙二十年（1681年），位于窑上村。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，窑山村列入2022年淘宝村名单。2019年9月，村子入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
