半仙山村位于横沥镇中心区，东面是横沥村，南面连着田头村的泰岗墟，西邻隔坑村，北至恒泉社区。村域面积2.1平方千米。[1]

全村常住约11300人，户籍2284人，户数798户。村中留存明清时期的古建筑，是镇内保存较好的古村之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明建文二年（1400年）前后立村，初名半边山。明景泰元年（1450年），宋代理学家朱熹的后裔迁入，村名改作半仙山。[2]

1953年，半仙山与横沥村合组横山乡，之后的1958年成为半仙山生产大队，1983年设为乡，1987年改设管理区，1999年才改为村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

半仙山村古建筑群包括朱氏宗祠在内的多座祠堂与门楼，年代为清，是第八批东莞市文物保护单位。[2]

镇政府的规划文件把半仙山大围古建群列为市级文物保护单位。[3]

人口[edit]

半仙山朱氏是南宋理学家朱熹的后裔，迁居此地已有六百多年。[1]

荣誉[edit]

村先后获评「广东省卫生村」「广东省最美志愿服务社区」「市文明村」等荣誉称号。[1]
