恒泉社区位于横沥镇中心区，辖区面积约1.15平方千米，楼盘小区26个，是镇内人口密度较高的社区之一。[1]
社区常住人口约2.35万人。区内共有89家工业企业，规模以上的有8家。广深铁路穿过社区，多条公交线路经过。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
横沥圩的历史可追溯到1915年，当年建成新圩；1929年又建成新埠。1949年后，两者合为横沥圩。[2]
1954年圩委会成立，1984年改设镇政府，称圩镇；1986年，横沥区公所改设为横沥镇，原先的圩镇转为居民管理区。2005年体制改革后，命名为恒泉社区居委会。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区内有横沥新埠正街，即一处近百年历史的骑楼群，现建有老街展馆和印象恒泉文化馆等场馆。[1]
荣誉[edit]
社区先后获得广东省「六好」和平社区、「广东省宜居社区」「广东省无邪教社区」等省级荣誉，以及东莞市文明标兵社区等市级荣誉。[1]
