户籍3010人，另有新莞人约6500。村里共有工厂52家，其中外资15家、集体36家，工业厂房约38万平方米。[1]
2019年9月，村庄入选2018年广东省民主法治示范村名单。2020年至2022年间，它连续三年入选淘宝村名单。[1]
