桔洲村是广东省东莞市石碣镇中心偏北的行政村，总面积1.1平方千米，下辖5个村民小组。村庄交通便利，距莞深高速和东莞环城路均不到五分钟车程。全村户籍人口1783人。[1]
地名由来[edit]
镇政府网站转引《全粤村情·东莞市卷》的记载称，村地原是河滩，沙土淤积形成荒洲，外地村民迁来后以养鸭、种田为生，其中种橘的人家居多，村名由此得来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
上世纪五十年代末，桔洲与梁家村合称「六境」，随后分立为桔洲大队。1960年桔洲并入南埔大队，1961年重新分立，1963年再与梁家村合并为「六境」大队。[1]
荣誉[edit]
镇政府网站记载，村庄于1999年获「广东省文明村」称号，2012年获「东莞名村」，2017年获「全国文明村镇」，2020年获「省乡村治理示范村」，2021年获「省民主法治示范村」和「东莞市先进基层党组织」，2023年获「全国乡村治理示范村」和「东莞市特色精品村」，2025年仍保留「全国文明村镇」称号。[1]
博雅地名网亦记载，2023年11月，村庄被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」。[2]
