创业社区是东莞市莞城街道下辖的社区，2003年7月1日成立。它位于莞城与南城的交界，辖区面积为1.8平方千米。[1][2]

社区以住宅为主，设有学校和医院，也有菜肉市场、休闲小公园和图书室。八达路五金专业市场、华利五金城等商贸集中于此。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

2005年社区成立时，由市桥居委会划出6个居民小组，由博厦居委会划出2个，共8个。这6个居民小组是创业、创新、八达、新苑、金牛与旗峰，另2个为戴屋庄和圳头。[2]

2008年，莞城开展居委改革，政经分开，圳头与戴屋庄两个居民小组分别并入创新与金牛居民小组。[2]

人口与党建[edit]

据街道网站，社区住户9895户，户籍人口34697人，常住人口约3.3万。博雅地名网所载为住户7508户、常住人口25714人，两处数字不同，此处取街道网站所载。[1][2]

党委之下有17个基层党支部，党员共597人。居委会下设居民小组六个，分别为旗峰、金牛、新苑、八达、创业与创新。[1]

华利五金城、东莞（中国）五金城与八达路五金专业市场等商贸集中，金牛路一带有「汽配一条街」。[2]
