博厦社区属莞城街道，是其中的居民社区，位于街道西南面。社区东边临运河，西边靠东江，南边与坝头相接，北边连着可园，面积约1.2平方千米。[1][3]

社区的居民小组有三个，名称为高桥、河西与江南。博厦历史上出过不少名人，清代可园园主张敬修即为博厦人。社区内留有庶常张公祠与张镇镛庄园等老建筑。[1][4]

历史人物[edit]

据街道网站，博厦出过可园园主张敬修与《东莞县誌》主要撰写人张雨果；近代人物有抗战将军张达、「运河之父」张如，以及数学奇才张启正。[1]

文物与老建筑[edit]

可园在清代广东四大名园中居其一，清道光三十年（1850年）由张敬修始建，是全国重点文物保护单位，位于社区北侧。[4]

老建筑方面，庶常张公祠与张镇镛庄园仍在。老居住区的麻石路和红粉石路也有保留。[1]

人口与服务[edit]

社区户籍总户数为3587户，人口则约1.2万。社区设有党群服务中心，另有劳动服务站、志愿服务站，以及图书室和心理咨询室。[1]

社区于2003年7月设立，前身为博厦街道工作办公室。[2]

2024年，社区完成「三线」专项整治，投入92万元，整治范围包括甘草塘与黄屋坊一带的93条内街巷。2025年，北区城中村得到改造提升，项目已建成。[1]

党建[edit]

社区党委设15个党支部，党员共326人。博厦股份经济联合社党总支管辖7个经济合作社党支部，其名单是花闸门、戴屋庄、圳头、滑石街、一甲、横壆、高桥。[1]
