西隅社区位于莞城街道西侧。东边靠着细村市场，南面有运河绕过，紧挨107国道，北面离东江大道不远。辖区面积0.57平方千米。[1][3]

社区分为大西、可湖、莞新三个居民小组。区内有中兴路、大西路、振华路上的骑楼街，又有可园、岭南美术馆等文化场所。[1][2]

人口与党建[edit]

街道网站所载社区户籍人口为二万四千六百七十三人，常住一千二百四十八人；博雅地名网所载户籍总人口为一万二千零六十四人，流动人口一千五百一十人。两处数字相差悬殊，此处两种都保留。[1][2]

社区党委之下设四个党支部，党员一百二十人。[1]

历史遗迹[edit]

广昌隆这处遗址，即中共东莞县委的交通站旧址，位于振华路与德厚里交界的位置。1927年秋县委成立后，县委机关曾在别处秘密设立。[2]

阮涌路3巷4号的李鹤年故居，建筑约七十平方米，属清末三间两廊的民宅样式。1928年初，县委机关在此设过联络点。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，社区获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。社区还获「广东省六好平安和谐社区」「广东最美工会驿站」等称号。[1][2]
