地名与历史[edit]
据街道办事处网站，村于清乾隆四十三年（1778年）立村，由漳澎的刘姓最早迁来，后有增城的萧姓，以及蚬涌、谷涌、滘联的杨姓先后落籍。地势低洼，故称洲；因种植优质粘谷，成熟时一片金黄，取名黄粘洲。[2]
据博雅地名网，清同治十一年（1872年）村东北角的堤边关帝庙旁设有麻墟，各村农民与麻商在此交易黄麻，因此又称麻甩洲。1950年后先后隶属拔蛟窝乡、拔蛟窝大队，1988年设黄粘洲管理区，1999年改为村民委员会，2005年改为社区居委会。[1]
