宏远社区是南城街道下辖的社区，位于街道西北部，辖区面积约1.2平方公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1995年1月，东莞市民政局批准成立宏远居委会，隶属篁村区办事处，这是南城首个新型社区。2004年2月改为现名，辖区未作调整。[1]

辖区内涵盖16个楼盘，包括汇龙湾、江南第一城、江南雅筑等。[1]
