火炼树村属于东城街道火炼树社区，位于东莞市中心城区，靠着黄旗山，与立新村相邻，沿鸿福路一侧。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1863年（清同治二年），外来移民从中原与北方迁来南方，在此立村。村子临着一条名为沙陂的山溪，故初名沙陂；居民以罗姓为多，因此又叫罗围。之后蔡、林、温几姓也迁入。[1]
村前旧有一棵高大的苦楝树，村民立石碑供奉，刻有“火炼白公”，村名即由“火炼”而来。[1]
荣誉与发展[edit]
2008年12月，村庄获得广东省卫生村的称号；同年，广东省财政厅又命它为农村集体资产与财务管理的示范村。2023年9月，本社区的商住类更新单元也开始施工，改造面积约33万平方米。[1]
