火炼树社区位于黄旗山南麓，北边紧靠鸿福路，西侧是东莞大道，东端可至翠峰路，距市政中心约500米。[1][2]

社区的旧村名为火炼树村，据百度百科始于清同治二年（1863年）。[3]

社区概况[edit]

社区占地0.6平方千米。截至2016年统计，户籍居民为664户、2190人，外来人口则在一万三千以上，集体经济总收入5244万元。[2]

工业区位于东城牛山外经工业园内，2004年开始建设，有18家生产企业，房屋面积合计二十余万平方米，行业涵盖电子、家具、印刷、鞋材等。[2]

旧村改造[edit]

2009年，社区旧村改造被纳入东城区的二十项重点工程之中。火炼树社区的商住类更新单元于2023年9月15日开工建设。[2][3]

2016年，社区入选东城街道年度综合评分优秀社区。[2]
