鳌峙塘社区位于东城街道，面积约2.14平方千米，只有一条自然村。外来人口约4000人，户籍人口有1056人。[1][2]

社区出过徐兆魁、徐景唐、卢仲夫等人物，徐氏宗祠与海潮庵等文物古迹保存至今。[2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，唐末宋初已立村。1949年归第五区榴花乡，1952年为第四区峡口乡所辖，1977年从峡口大队分出另立鳌峙塘大队。1984年为乡，1987年为管理区，1998年改为村委会，2005年村改居。[1]

历史遗存[edit]

这座祠堂为明万历三十年（1602年）所建，东西向的长度42米、宽22米，墙体用青砖砌成。匾额为巡按广东监察御史李时华题写，至今仍然保存。[4]

海潮庵始建于明天启年间，由徐兆魁倡议捐建。修鳌峙塘围堤记碑立于1948年，2014年列入第十批东莞市文物名录。[4][1]

城市更新[edit]

东莞市自然资源局曾公示鳌峙塘社区商住更新单元的划定方案，拟建筑总量14.28万平方米。据报道，徐氏宗祠和徐景唐故居都拟在原地保留、修缮并加以利用。[3] 东莞市人民政府2023年7月发布的第三批历史建筑保护名录中，列有鳌峙塘社区元美街的民居（12、13号）、筱园（元美街6号之一）与徐景唐别院旧址（元美街三巷）。[5]
