2026年9月，卫民村湟水的一处种植园试种凤梨并挂果成功，据报道，种植户用3亩地先行试种，经两三年摸索筛选出适宜本地的品种。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2017年10月，卫民村获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”」创建单位名单；2021年9月，以柑橘产业入选「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2024年3月，被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
