村内耕地约1180亩，其中水田906亩，村民以种植水稻为主，部分人外出务工。[1]

据镇政府的报道，种田村的蜂蜜经品牌注册和统一包装后，由村里统收统销、线上线下拓销。村里还建立了小微水利修缮清单，并对村内古建民居建档保护、申报专项资金。[3]

革命历史[edit]

镇政府的报道称，种田村委会辖下的兰田、田冲、松树榜、墩头、钱屋等村也属革命老区。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，种田村被列入「第六批中国传统村落」。[1]

2021年1月，种田村入选「第七批广东省古村落」名单。[1]
